This “Steam Stretch”* collarless coat features a houndstooth pattern-like arrangement of vertical and horizontal pleats. The use of double weave fabric makes it fill with air, providing warmth and comfort. Due to the nature of the material, the size and pattern of this product vary from item to item. *The “Steam Stretch” technique shrinks cloth by applying hot steam in order to create unique stretch materials. Special threads shrunken with heat are woven with other threads, and then only the special thread parts shrink when the steam is applied. By only shrinking the intended parts of the piece of woven cloth, three-dimensional patterns and shapes are created and the garment is completed.
